The Downtown Cary Streetscape Project is Setting the Stage for a unique and vibrant downtown destination that meets the needs of Cary’s citizens, businesses, and guests—a place where our heritage is honored, commerce and creativity thrive, and community pride is fostered.

This project is the first stage in realizing the vision of the Town Center Area Plan. Future downtown projects will build upon the foundation set by the Downtown Cary Streetscape Project.

This foundation, or stage, includes both infrastructure elements—such as widened sidewalks to encourage pedestrian travel, new gathering places like the Town Square, and eye-catching public art—as well as the intangible elements that are reflected in a signature downtown, such as beauty, community, and an improved quality of life.
